NOTD 127 – Caribbean Temptation

My mom and I went to the store yesterday but before hand, I wanted to go get a Pedicure. We went to a place that neither of us were familiar with but it was the only one open at 10A on Sunday. We go in and sit right down. The girl took about an hour and 15 minutes just on my Pedicure. Now my feet aren’t gnarly if that is what you are thinking, I usually take care of my own feet but wanted to have someone else do it for once… lol no, this girl was just verrrry slow. I had already decided well before the length of time that it took for my pedicure, that I was going to also get a manicure. I just wanted to have someone else clean my nails up for a change. Anyway, when all was said and done, we were there almost two hours…….. o..m..g.. Another reason why I always do my own.

Anyone that knows me, knows I don’t match my nails to my outfits, and I don’t usually match my toes to my nails, but this time I decided to do that. I will just end up changing my nails in a few days, so they wont match anyway… lol I usually end up keeping my toe polish on for close to two weeks before changing that.

The color I went for was “China Glaze – Caribbean Temptation” This color reminds me a lot of “OPI’s – Pompeii Purple”.

So note to self, continue to just do own nails and toes… ::sigh::

  1. Hopefully your pedicure turned out nice and it was at least relaxing for you. I have only ever had one pedicure. I must get another one once the warm weather hits. I love the color you chose. Pink and summery!

    • Thanks, It was relaxing at first and although It took so long I still tried to relax.. lol You must get a pedicure, so worth it every once in a while for a treat, and thank you! 🙂

  2. LMAO I ALSO keep toe polish on for two weeks.
And I’ve also been for a mani that took ages and all it was, was a french mani. It was over 40 minutes and I take like 10 for a french mani. And it isn’t even like you pay per minute for them to take SO long.
Also if my nail art is kak then I have myself to blame but if I go for a mani, I want perfection as it’s from an expert so I’m extremely critical! I’m so bad!

Ps: love the colour! A jazzy, almost metallic pinky fuschia.

    • rght!!! Yes, glad I wasn’t paying per minute, or I would have been mad, was still relaxing, but I didn’t get art, just the same color pink! Should NOT have taken more than an hour! lol

  3. 2 hrs?! OMG. I’ve never gotten a pedi cause I don’t like people touching my feet, but I used to get manicures. Once a year I would treat myself on my birthday and get a mani. It’s always crazy busy everywhere cause it’s so close to christmas so they’re always super quick. However, I quit going since the last time I went was 2 years ago and when I got home I was pretty much thinking “ummm I could have totally done this myself and done a better job” So yea, no more nail salons for me.
I don’t usually match my nails to my outfit either…if I do it’s always unintentional. You must have been wearing some super bright pink!

    • hahaha I actually was wearing pink that day but I didn’t match it to my outfit, just matched my nails to my toes which I usually never do hehe. Yea I usually never go to salon anymore either for that simple reason, I can do this on my own. But like for me, I like when they use the Pumice stone, I have bought them and they never work as well as when I get a pedicure. This time I paid attention to the brand they have, I ordered it, so I will be continuing to do my own toesies 🙂
