The Lacquer Ring – Dotticure

We are back with some dotticures! Although Frosso pointed out she picked this month even though I thought I did.. lol dotticures are one of my favorites to do, the color options and patterns are limitless. Oh did I also mention I am obsessed with Polka Dots, hence why I thought I picked this 😉

On Monday I have an interview!! So I wanted to mess around with some neutrals as I normally don’t do too many manis like that. Although I will probably put on something even more neutral, I absolutely love the way this came out!

I used OPI’s Gwen Collection for the most part, 4 In the Morning, Push and Shove, and Love.Angel.Music.Baby along with Essie Good as Gold and the base is China Glaze Dandy Lyin’ Around

I cannot say enough how much I love how this turned out… normally the ones I love you guys don’t and visa versa, lol so tell me what you think, and what’s your favorite dotticure color combo if you have one 😉

The Lacquer Ring – Geometric

So like I said most of the girls were slackers.. LOL so you are seeing our Nail art challenge this week instead of last. As you read this I am driving to Maine to celebrate my 10th wedding Anniversary with my husband. They have an Annual ‘Lobsterfest’ among other fun things. From what we’ve heard, it’s absolutely stunning there, so I cannot wait to arrive.

I’ve been wanting a couple of the OPI Coca-Cola collection colors and after lots of searching finally got the ones I wanted. I got Today I Accomplished Zero and Green on the Runway.  Green on the Runway is absolutely stunning, its such a gorgeous green! This color is perfect for fall but I could not wait to use it.

Just as Chartreuse was Jess’s pick, the nail art challenge is hers too and she picked Geometric. I did two coats of Green on the runway and stamped Essie’s Good as Gold using my MoYou stamp. I hope this is geometric enough for ya Jess 😉

Stamping Saturdays – Leopard Lover

It’s Saturday again! Today I am going to a craft show with my mom to see my cousin who makes these amazing hand painted glasses. Then I am going out with my girlfriend to lunch and then to pick up my OPI’s waiting for me at my polish store, the green, silver, and black from the OPI Coca Cola collection! 🙂

Today I have a special gift from my girl V, Essence’s Me and my Lover. I stamped Essie’s Good as Gold overtop using my 80’s MoYou stamp and then painted China Glaze’s Liquid Leather in the spots.

This picture was my husband Don and I for Halloween in 2010, he was obviously a leprechaun and I was a pot o’ gold. 🙂

My fabulous friend Lesley got me Essie’s good as gold for my birthday and it really is the perfect stamping polish. I decided to do a St’ Patrick’s Day mani. I used OPI’s Amazon Amazoff this is kind of teal greenish in a way but I think it looks more green see for yourself.

NOTD – Stamping Gold Saturdays

I am taking a page from the Gold Masta V’s Playbook here with this mani, she would be so proud!

This mani is brought to you by the lovely Lesley who got me, Essie’s Good as Gold and Orly’s Sweet Peacock for my birthday! I also used Nicole by OPI Sing y0u like a bee.

  • I first painted one coat of good as gold on all nails
  • Once completely dry, I mean completely! lol use hole reinforcement stickers strategically placed so that you have the half-moon on your nail at the top (or bottom) 036
  • I then painted two coats of Sing you like a bee on my accent nail and two coats of Sweet Peacock on the rest. (If it’s too much to do all at once, do one at a time just keep in mind it might be harder trying to put stickers on your fingers with half of them dry and half not)
  • Once that was completely dry, I used my stamping plate and stamped the good as gold over the sweet peacock nails
  • Topped off with Seche top coat on all. Here’s the final result 🙂
