NOTD 126 – Featured Color Friday ‘Your Web or Mine’

Finally Friday and the weather is finally looking up! Today is going to be 60, and all next week 60’s and even a couple that hit 70! Wooohooo! I just cant wait to get out and plant my flowers and veggies 🙂

On to the nails, today I am featuring “OPI’s – Your Web or Mine” This was a mini that I got in the Spiderman mini set a while back. I had never tried it until now. It’s a very pretty pink with a little hint of metallic I think. Unfortunately that glimmer makes you see every brush stroke, which I personally HATE. So when all else fails, add some glitter, and of course I go to my favorite topper, “Lush Lacquer’s – Salt N’ Pepa”

NOTD 107 – Snow Angel, Shawn

Sundays are the worst day of the week next to Mondays, because they lead up to Mondays, which are horrific… ugh.

Today I have “Zoya – Shawn” and “Lush Lacquer – Snow Angel”. I painted two coats of “Shawn” and then accented with one coat of “Snow Angel” which is a gorgeous gold and white topper by “Lush Lacquer”.

NOTD 74 – Slumber Party

Last night as I am doing my nails, my husband informed me, or reminded me that I haven’t done any nail art lately, whether it be free hand or stamps. During the 31 day challenge I did a lot more art than I have lately and I think it’s just that I have been on such an effect kick. An effect kick as in, glitters and color changing nail polish; Nail polish that has an effect that doesn’t need nail art. For those of you that are fans of my art, whether it be my free hand (which is not that great, lol) or my stamping, I promise that for the Halloween Mani month I will be bringing back some more nail art.

With that being said, I painted my nails last night with “Zoya – Charisma” 2C, and “Milani – White” 2C as an accent and topped it off with “Lush Lacquer’s – Slumber Party” 1C. This is a gorgeous multi shaped glitter topper in black, white, pink, purple, and blue. Just as “Salt n Pepa” the formula was amazing and so easy to work with and just simply fabulous!

And lastly, here is a close up of the white and purple so you can really see how different the topper looks on different colors. Obviously with the white you lose the white flicks but still looks really pretty.

Purchases and things

My mom and I had a Lia Sophia book party and with your sales you can earn free jewelry, which we did. I had gotten three rings, a bracelet, a necklace and a pair of earrings. My rings were a size too small and the earrings just did not look right on my little ear lobes, so I exchanged the earrings for the necklace below and my rings finally came in!!

The next thing was an actual purchase, and it was from Ninja Polish it’s a “Ninja Polish color named Alexandrite” This is an Emerald shifting to purple color. It says to paint over dark colors to really get the full effect, I cannot wait to try this. I did a swatch over nothing on one of my swatch tips and it’s simply gorgeous. However another one of those colors that will simply be impossible to capture in a photo, we shall see it kept coming up green in the pic 😦

Next up is a stamping plate that I also got from Ninja Polish

Next was my second Indie Polish, “Hit Polish” I got ” Jack-O’-Lantern” and “Snozzberry” I have not tried these yet, only on my nail swatches and they are gorgeous, I will swatch “Jack-O’-Lantern” closer to Halloween where I will do a bunch of Halloween manis as that is my favoritist time of the year. 🙂 “Snozzberry” swatches are soon to come.

Next up is “Gerry” from “Shimmer Polish” along with a sneak peek of a swatch of it (prior to my NOTD post about it)

So here is the sneak peek… no matter What I did, inside, outside, flash, no flash, right under lights, shading, in the car, in the sun, overtop purple backgrounds, overtop blue backgrounds…. the color continuously showed up as a blue with glitter. Although I painted this atop “OPI Nicole – Back to Reality TV” I painted two coats, and I feel it’s more purple. but it certainly has a lot of blue glitter too. See for yourself Linda over at Shimmer does describe it as a “Violet Purple Navy Blue glitter polish”

The formula was great, this is two coats over “Back to Reality TV” covered it for the most part. beautiful glitters. She has gorgeous shades to offer you should check her out, I am starting my list now, of next colors to get from “Shimmer”.

Last purchase and certainly not least 😀 is my very first one, it was from “LUSH Lacquer”, I got “Salt N’ Peppa” and “Slumber Party” To see the swatch of “Salt N’ Peppa” click here: I am so mad at myself that I only got minis of these because I simply LOVE “Salt N’ Peppa” so far, I have not tried “Slumber Party” just yet. I am like so afraid to use it because I don’t want it to end!! I already have a wish list of this line going 😀

That is all for now. 😀

NOTD 67 – Lush Lacquer <3

Salt and Pepa’s here, and we’re in  effect,

Want you to push it, babe

Coolin’ by day then at night working up a sweat

C’mon girls, let’s go show the guys that we know

How to become number one in a hot party show

Now push it
Oh sorry, got a little caught up in the moment 😀 It’s Friday woot woot! and I have for you my very first Indie polish.  I purchased two minis from Lush Lacquer, and the one I am showing you today is Salt n’ Peppa, hence the rambling lyrics above. (I honestly don’t know if they meant this literally salt and pepper or The Salt N’ Peppa, but of course that is the first thing that comes to my mind!) I have to say I am so mad at myself for buying the minis rather than the full size bottle! I absolutely LOVE this glitter and now I will be afraid to use it all, I must buy a full size very soon! The formula is flawless, it’s a clear with silver glitter, shimmer specks, white and black dotted glitters, black and white hexagonal glitter flakes, white and black rectangular flakes, and white and black long glitters. I only used one coat over “Julep- Kelly” and I LOVE how it turned out! “Kelly” is like the perfect pink/nude for this polish. Next time I might do it over a brighter color, maybe the “OPI – Did it on em” that might be fun ❤

Without further ado, here is one coat “Lush Lacquer – Salt n’ Pepa” atop two coats of “Julep – Kelly” topped off with “Seche Vite”

So what do you think of this glitter? And my color combo? Do you own any Lush Lacquers, if so, what is your favorite that I should try next?

PS. sorry if you will now be singing Salt N’ Peppa in your head all day now, I have been humming it since I started the blog post and it won’t leave 😀
