I know.. I know.. I am very late in posting my SS look this week! As I mentioned in my other post my sister is visiting, and today she came over to help me garden. I went to Lowes and got some edging rocks to match what I already have out front and some bags of dirt… well my Stepdad went with me and they dropped a brick on his truck and scratched it and I felt Terrible!!! 😦 My sister and I planted the butterfly bush and lilac bush I picked up last weekend! I love it 🙂 I’ve also been pretty sick the last couple of weeks so I apologize for the lack of posts recently .

Although Memorial Day is so much more than just the un-official start to Summer, I did some festive nails for the occasion. I painted two coats of Nina Ulta Pro’s Cobalt and then Darling Diva’s Home of the Brave. I then stamped Ulta’s Snow White using my Red Angel stamp RA319.

This glitter topper is so special and I saved it just for this occasion! This is one of Darling Diva’s ‘Cause’ polishes. 100% of the proceeds from this purchase goes to the DAV in her fathers honor as he is a Vietnam Veteran. I absolutely love this topper and love how special it is to her, which makes it special to me. I think I’ve mentioned this before, but my husband was in the Army and he went to Iraq twice. I am also involved in my local American Legion where we give back to the community and give back to our Veteran and Active Duty families, those serving overseas, Homeless Veterans, Disabled Veterans, etc. like this. Alright guys, moving on to Week 2, As far as I know the voting ends for this on Saturday still unless they extend this, so shoot for it ending Saturday night. Get out and vote for this one too, ASAP. Remember these are two different weeks, so if you voted for Week 1’s Snow mani, please go and vote for Week 2’s Holiday decorations mani!!! 🙂

For this mani, I went with a wreath theme. I used a small brush and painted a wreath, with lights and a glittery bow, all decorations on their own or together, I hope you like it!

I first painted two coats of Deborah Lippman’s – New Flesh, for the wreath, I used Ulta’s Envy. I painted the string of lights although its covered mostly with the lights, using China Glaze’s Liquid Leather. For the light colors, I used Sinful Colors – Happy Ending, Nubar – Lustful Red, Spoiled by Wet N’ Wild – Designated Driver, Ruffian – Foxhunt, and Nina Ultra Pro – Cobalt. The bow was painted using Lustful Red and finally, I painted the glare on the lights using Milani Nail Art Silver glitter, and the middle of the bow.
