Happy Monday! NOT Mondays have to be the worst day of the week really.. The only good thing about this week is that I am off Wed-Friday this week, bad on that though it’s because my husband is getting his tonsils out!! EEK! They say that is one of the worst things/pains you can experience as an adult so needless to say he is not looking forward to it, neither am I 😦

I have one of the other ‘Shimmer’ girls to introduce to you today, her name is Cindy and she is STUNNING!

First, my inspiration for this mani was Alice in Wonderland. This is one of my all time favorite Disney movies. I really wanted to show you guys Cindy next, and I had just gotten this new rose stamp and it hit me, I can paint them white (‘Ulta – Snow White’) and it will be like when they have to paint all of the roses red because they accidentally planted white instead. 🙂

Alright, now on to the beauty. ‘Cindy’ reminds me a bit of ‘Marilyn’, ‘Marilyn’ is a deeper gorgeous red and ‘Cindy’ is a little brighter red glitter.

‘Cindy’ on it’s own is suspended in a somewhat clear, red base. I applied two coats of ‘Cindy’ over ‘Nubar – Lustful Red’

I know I talked a little bit about how Shimmer polishes came to be, but I think that it’s just so awesome that all polishes are named after family and friends that she draws inspiration from.

With the President’s Day holiday yesterday and my work being closed, I keep feeling like today is Monday still.. Thankfully it’s not, that just means I am that much closer to Friday already! Woohoo!

Today I have a simple mani, almost too simple, the contrast I don’t feel is enough for pictures. If you know these colors and have ever put them together its enough contrast in person, however in pictures it keeps blending, so we will see what you think.

Overtop two coats of OPI’s Nail Envy, I painted two coats of “China Glaze – Dorothy Who”, I then with my dotting tools did two coats of “Essie – Aruba Blue” as a frame around all nails.

Sunlight. The blues are much more vibrant in this pic and farther from the actual color pigmentation, but you can really see the difference in the detail in this pic.
